18th march 2017: a day of movies and then hub pimped me in to binge watching season1 of iron fist. 0kay, I went willingly. 😂

March 9th I crashed the bike and made a mess of my right pinky:

https://forum.pianoworld.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2625176/Re:_Broke_little_finger_(tip)_.html#Post2625176

After my ER visit, a couple of trips to a hand specialist, and now the beginning of therapy I'm now back at the piano looking for pieces for left hand only. Right hand can only do much but I'm trying to mimic play with it as much as possible.

Please excuse me for March 9th - 17.

I am back in business! I rented a keyboard March 22, so I am back to playing everyday. I was piano-less March 16-21. I have a firm move in date for our new place now. My new Bosie will be delivered April 24!

Begging forgiveness for 3/24. Extremely difficult day at work followed by the discovery that a contractor came in to finish a project unannounced and left our kitchen in disarray. Practice just didn't happen.

A lack of talent does not stop you from learning piano. It just takes longer and you have to work harder.

Please excuse me for 13 March to 25 March. Traveling around Australia. Saw plenty of pianos but didn't get to touch one.

Well, I wanted to make it three months playing piano every day, but...

I was letting water out of a bathtub Saturday night, and flakes of metal from the drain collar got embedded in the nail of LH2. The dermatologist removed part of my fingernail this morning to get the metal out. LH2 is now wrapped up so securely my coworkers thought I had lost the finger entirely, lol. I am back at the piano tonight doing RH only, but I must ask excuse for March 26.

Hopefully no more freak accidents will derail my MOYD!!

Stellaria, that sounds painful! I hope it is back to normal soon. I was away today and thought I might not make it home to put in some time, but managed a meagre 10 minutes. Back to normal practice tomorrow.

Finfan - I can relate to the mess that contractors leave, along with the problems to correct! It sounds like a hard day. I will put you back on the wagon. Hope your remodel goes more smoothly than mine!

PatrickBI - It sounds like a fun trip! I will put you on th excused list for Mar 13-25.

Stellaria - Big Ouch! I hope your finger is better soon! I will put March 26 on your list.

AprilE - Way to go! It is tough getting to piano after a hard day, but you did it!

I am enjoying my portable. My set up is rather comical. The piano is sitting on an over-stuffed chair with the cushion standing up as a music stand. Half the time I am chasing the pedal around with my foot, because it slides on the tile floor. But at least I am playing! I might play really well when I finally get back to a grand piano!

Thanks! I love spending time there. I have yet to truly make the most of it (by heading to Bonn or Salzburg or some other fantastic musical destination) but for this trip I did rent a bicycle. That let me get out and about and really get something of a feel for the city. Regretfully, the hotel we stayed in this time did not have a piano so I was unable to play at all but Berlin itself is just lovely.

Thanks for adding me to the list. I promise I'm back at it starting tomorrow. Over the ocean right now heading home and can't wait to see my Boston again.

Phew - just managed to squeak through March. I had a few days with really short sessions (company at the house and then illness) - but I did place my fingers on the piano every day in March for a few minutes at least.

jandz - hope you had a safe trip home and are feeling recovered from the jet lag!

Swiss MS...so glad you have a keyboard to keep your fingers limber for the new Bosie. That is exciting.

FinFan...Kitchen remodel is apparently one of the top stressors...the mess and the contractors. I bet it will be lovely.

Have to add 3 days to my out of town (March 31, April 1 and April 2). We went to a dog show in Scottsbluff where we slogged through cold, rainy and then VERY muddy days at the fairgrounds without a single win for our dogs. AND there was no Internet, as well as no piano in sight. Good thing we like our show friends. So good to be home.

Wisebuff - Rain + dogs + mud - Sounds like quite an adventure!

ClsscLib - Sorry to hear of your loss, I will add April 4 to your list.

I spent the day in NYC and was too tired to practice when I got home. Please excuse me for today.
