I am looking in PIERCE PIANO ATLAS, 10th edition, page 177 which shows the numbers for Ivers & Pond. If I'm interpreting correctly, the last serial number for 1885 is 3000 and the last serial number for 1890 is 7000. 4557 lies between those two numbers, so maybe around 1887.

We had one of those, a very well built, high quality.Sadly enough we had to junk it, but we kept most of the wood, especially the SB.the spruce in those days is extraordinary. And I don't mean was, because that SB is still here! The Ivers&Ponds from those days are amazing.
