I'd been looking into getting the StudiLogic SL-88 Grand after making sure nothing new came out at NAMM and then saw a new Numa Nero pop up with free shipping and normal Amazon return policy and decided I couldn't pass it up. I'm incredibly happy with it so far for the price and am glad to have a great feeling controller to get back into playing for myself. Price is back up to $1600 so I'm patting myself on the back for snatching it while one was available.

The $2299 USD includes 10% California tax, original delivery and a piano move to a new location one hour away (I'm moving); they also have to move the piano up to the second floor. I didn't like the bench that comes with the AP700 so they let me switch it out. Lastly, if I upgrade to something that is at least twice the price I will get credit for the full value of the AP700.

Just emailed all the official Roland dealers offering free UK delivery for a quote. No discounts were offered on the £4399 advertised rate (brand new model, not much stock etc), but one dealer offered their showroom piano for £4000 in as new condition, so went for that and still came with the full 10 year warranty.

FA-08 is a workstation, the keyboard is a nice 88-note Ivory Feel-G. Piano sound is modern, realistic and well adjustable with the Integra-7 engine doing the heavy lifting. Additionally you can download free virtual expansion EXP-04 concert piano collection with about 50 different tones (old sampled pianos, but not too shabby). However the polyphony of FA is only 128 notes. If you layer few sounds the note stealing will be pretty obvious.
The FA-08 was sitting in the ads for many months before I decided to finally pick it up. It seems the used market is now pretty much all in favor of buyers dictating the price.
