No, I meant 22,XXX as in 22,376. It is much older than 1952. Thanks.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have a small Packard Grand, I believe serial# 135,810 (found this stamped into the wood on the underside underneath the keyboard). Could someone tell me the year it was made? Thanks!

1925 - 1926 best guess based on Pierce Piano atlas.

Thanks so much for the info! I did not realize it was so old! The previous owner of my new house included it as they were downsizing and only their now grown daughter had taken lessons, so they had no real use for it anymore. I was told they acquired it from a church that was discarding it so they had it reconditioned.

I don't know who did the work (I'll ask) but they did a nice job. It plays fairly well - nice touch and sound, I like it. I'm not familiar with Packard except for what I've read on the internet about their history. Anyone care to share anymore info/opinions/history?

Also, regarding the Pierce Piano atlas, how much difference is there between the editions? Would an older edition suffice for older pianos or do later editions have expanded info on past years too? Thanks...

If you're going to get one, might as well buy the newest edition. I need to update mine too.
