Hello I've been searching the net about this keyboard but haven't got all the info I would like. Do you think is it worth 400euro? It comes with its pedal and stand. Thank you smile

Short answer:

Stay away from it!

Long answer:

This instrument came out 2006. The general rule is, the older the model, the less likely it is to be able to compete with newer models with newer, and usually more advanced, technology.

400 Euros? I don't think so, judging from the specs. For that you can get the much newer Casio PX-150 or even PX-160, not sure though. Roland, Kawai, and Yamaha all have at least one option around this price range, as well.

I'm with TheodorN on this: you don't look to be getting a great deal at that price, as much better new keyboards are out there with better sounds and better actions for not much more money. 100 to 200 range perhaps, but certainly not 400 Euros.

It's not much cheaper than a brand new Casio CDP-230R which might be quite similar or even better. The key action is basically the same, I've understood except that in a used device it may be worn-out and clunky and rattly.

Can't really say anything about the piano sound, except that a modern privia (AiR sound chip) is more advanced technology wise than either the PX-300 (HL-Dual-Element) or the modern CDP series (Dual-element AHL) or slightly newer Privia (AiF).

And a modern Privia also has an improved key action, but the cheapest one won't have the "fun features" like accompaniments and hundreds of sounds.

I think I paid 400 euros for a used PX-800 a few years ago and that was once the flagship model, unlike the PX-300.

The PX-160 retails at 599 euros at Thomann. Don't know about the availability of the PX-150, if it can be had, it's probably better to get the PX-160 of the two, if we're talking new.

A second hand Casio PX-150 may very well be had at 400 euros, if you search around, possibly less. A CDP-230R is undoubtedly a better option than the PX-300, though I would personally rather up the budget by 100 euros, to go for the PX-160.
