What are these slash notations in my Real Book? #2584160

Should be a real simple question, but I can't find the answer: what are these forward slashes above notes in the treble staff in my Real Book (see pic, below)?

I know forward slashes within the clef are rests, but what are these, above notes?

The Real Book doesn't have a notation guide in it that provides answers.

Thanks for your help!

Keep playing the chord from the previous bar.

I always thought of them as:

. . . "Strum guitar here . . . "

How apropos. I just came across the same thing on a lead sheet last night with a dot above and below the slash positioned the same as the picture above. Does that mean something else or the same thing?

I'm technically very capable. I love my piano and love tinkering with it.

Could it mean play the chord again instead of just sustaining it? It would take a little more context to see if that's reasonable. In general, in leadsheet playing, you stay on a chord until the next one in the notation. That's why they're called the "changes."

. / . (dots higher) means repeat last bar.

4 (should be directly above slash)
. / . (dots higher) means repeat last 4 bars.
