I'm hoping that someone on this forum might know the answer to my question. I've also posted at the PGMusic forums, but haven't gotten a response yet, so I thought that I'd also try here.

I have quite a number of Band-In-A-Box (BIAB) backing tracks which I would like to export to mp3 format. I know that I can do this one at a time in BIAB, but the process is a bit cumbersome, since it requires you to type in a song name to save each one individually.

I'd like to be able to direct BIAB to a specific folder to save the mp3 files to, and have it automatically use the same song name as the BIAB file (ie - "Song 1.sgu" becomes "Song 1.mp3", etc, etc.) for each exported song.

Is there any way to do this from within BIAB2014 or perhaps there's another way?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Bert

I know nothing at all about MS Windows, but there are numerous macro recorders available for download both free and for a price. You can automate a lot of stuff with macros. I have used xdotool for a few things off-and-on, but not recently and that particular one doesn't work with MS Windows. But there are lots of others.

As FrankCox wrote, just use a macro software, I usually use AutoIt.
Considering the time required to setup the macro, I think that it's convenient for 200+ songs. For less than 200 do it manually... while you read the forum :-)
