I removed a system from a wurlitzer grand. I want to make it into a vorsetzer. I can get all the solenoids to work but I'm afraid there is something wrong with the processor. I might not have a proper set up but I've tried playing the proper file on a CD player i connected to it. This piano had a CD player hooked up wirelessly and a remote I think. Someone broke I'm and stole the CD cabinet taking the CDs and the piano remote with it. Can someone tell me how to get this thing playing? I would love to hook it in to my computer via midi and play whatever I want! Thanks!

There have been many variations of Pianomation since 1990. Which model do you have? Some photos would help (particularly of any markings on the controller). I'm pretty certain that most QRS systems are equipped with the usual 5-pin MIDI IN port. You could connect to a USB MIDI interface on a laptop and use a program like VanBasco's Karaoke Player to stream MIDI files to the controller. This will actually produce more accurate playback than the CD format, which has limited temporal and expression resolution.
