I'm brand new to IMSLP and would like to go "paperless" for at least some IMSLP scores on my iPad Pro.

I would like the ability to annotate the scores with the iPad pencil.

If anyone would care to recommend an app for downloading and managing the scores, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks for any and all guidance!

forScore. Henle app (if you're into purchasing their digital scores).

I have the Henle app, but the selection of solo piano scores at the intermediate level is pretty thin now; I'm sure it will get better.

Right now I'm looking for an "open" app (that will take any pdf scores) and let me annotate them.

The Henle app shows promise, but it seems like I need something like forScore to supplement it for non-Henle texts.

I'm not at all computer savvy, and am interested in using forScore to maintain music. Would like to save PDF from IMSLP, but I'm not sure how to do this. Any direction or suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Another vote for forScore, it's quite good, practical, and handy.

forScore is by far the best!

IMSLP saves as a pdf file by default. When the score is open in a web page, touch the upper right corner of the screen and the words "open in forScore" appear.

For other scanned pdf files, save them to your iCloud drive, then open it and send it to forScore.

When I touch the upper right hand corner of the screen, nothing happens. There is a little page on page icon that when I touch diminishes the view and I see on the lower right the iCloud icon with iPhone under it.

Download forScore, of you haven't already done so. Then, with a score showing on your screen from IMSLP, touch the upper right area of the score (actually, when you first open a score in IMSLP, the phrase "open in forScore" appears automatically for a few seconds, then disappears). The phrase will appear.

Not sure if I'm opening the music wrong for forScore, but I click 'View', see the music, but nothing about forScore. I bought the app earlier today.

Looked at a YouTube on how to download music to forScore. As I understand, the download needs to be done while in forScore. There is supposed to be a "Browser" selection in the toolbox, but there is none. Below the list in the tool box to add scores, there is "more" as if it would drop down and give more options. This "more" does nothing, doesn't respond when I tap on it.

Is forScore compatible with regular IPad?

Just sent an email to forScore asking why I don't have the Browser feature in the toolbox.

After you download the score from IMSLP, it will display in Safari. Tap the center of the score, and a bar will appear at the top of the score with "open in" on the left side. Tap those words, and a menu of apps appears, tap "copy in forScore."

You don't need to have forScore open to copy files to it (though it will open automatically when you try to copy a file to it). As WhoDwaldi says, tapping on the top middle of the web page showing the score will open a menu set at the upper left with choices of which app to use to open the score. ForScore will appear as one of the choices. It may also appear in the upper right hand corner as a single choice as well, especillay of most .pdfs you download are open in forScore.

Keep trying. You will eventually figure it out.

I was just thinking. Don't VIEW the score in IMSLP. You download it by tapping the name of the piece. Maybe that is your problem.

They took the browser feature out in the most recent version. I don't know why, but it's annoying. Instead, I copy everything to OneDrive and access it from forScore. (You can do the same from Dropbox and some other cloud services I think.)
