It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Keep in mind that up until recently I had a bit of a fear of cows. When I was young I was cutting across a field when I decided to pick some flowers for my mother. I gathered a bunch of pretty wildflowers, and that's when I realized a group of cows was staring at me.
They started to head toward me (as a group), luckily there was a tree in the middle of the field.
I shot up the tree like a rocket still holding my mother's flowers. The cows gathered under the tree looking up at me. I thought "great, now what do I do?". I figured if I was going to make a run for it I'd need to lose the flowers, so I dropped them. The cows bent their heads and ate the flowers, then walked away. They could care less about me, they wanted the flowers. Still I wasn't taking any chances, especially after I spied the bull!
Needless to say I covered the distance from the tree to the fence in seconds. Sorry Mom, no flowers today.
So, back to Emmett...
We had a nice (if one sided) conversation.
I finally convinced him to head back up the hill toward his home, we met his owner half way up, finally between the two of us we coaxed him back into his pasture (after about 20 minutes).
