Can anybody help identify this used digital piano?

The ad simply says "Yamaha CLP-500", which if I'm not wrong is a product series rather than a specific model. When I compare it to CLP-525, 535 etc, I can't find a match.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's ancient. Looks a bit like the original 500 series - 550 maybe. From the late '80s I think.

Correct. It's from 1987.

Here's a manual for the CLP-500 (model, not series), so you can check if features, controls etc. correspond (and work!). Unfortunately no pictures/images of the whole instrument, but since it did exist as a model, I think the ID is pretty much established.

Ok thanks, if it's that old it's probably not worth the asking price of $600. Will likely go for a new DGX650 instead.

Insane price! It was probably expensive when new and the owner seems to think the current value in some way relates to the new cost. It doesn't. Not after 30 odd years anyway. If it's in good working order I would say a fair price is a relatively small proportion of that $600.

Good luck with the DGX or whatever you choose to buy.

I had one of those years ago, and knowing its abilities *when new* compared to what I'm playing now, I wouldn't put its value at greater than $30-50, and again that's in new perfect condition. The new keyboards are just so much better sounding, feeling, and functioning.
