Hello,
I'm looking forward to buy one of this pianos.
I would like to know what do you think about this two Yamaha pianos.
The P22 is used (it's 17 years old), the M3 is new. The price is almost the same. I have searched information about them, I found some positive comments about the P22 but I can't find much about the M3.
Please give information about each one, tell me if you've had any experience with them.
Here are the links:

Thank you!

I'm a p22 fan. It has a full size action and I also appreciate the large music desk area. It does lack the practice mute that the Ms have. They can be handy for quiet practice.

I would go for the P22 if it's in super great condition. For example, if only one person played it for 5 years while he/she took lessons as a child.

If the P22 came from a piano teacher in which every day it was played for several hours by many different students, then I'm not so sure.

The P22 is a fine instrument, I like them, as well.

Thank you very much guys!
Does anyone know anything about the M3?
I would like to know about the pros and cons of both pianos.

I've never played or seen a Yamaha M3. But I have played a Yamaha P22 at a Church. I really liked the way the P22 played and sounded. The action was superb. The tone was nice for a 46" studio upright piano.

Good luck with your decision!

I teach music in public schools and am split between three schools (I teach Strings only). In one of my schools, I have a P22 that was "original equipment", bought when the school was built in the mid-1980's. In the other two schools I have a Kawai studio piano and a Yamaha studio piano, both much newer (<5 years old). The 30-year-old P22 is by far my favorite when it comes to action and tone. It is a very nice little piano, built in the Thomaston, GA plant. Were all P22's for the US market built there?

Keep in mind that the P22 was originally made in the U.S. Subsequently production was moved. I believe, to China and now Indonesia.

Wondering if there's any evidence that this should affect quality.
Glad to be instructed about this: kindly watch the word "evidence"

I've never seen an M3 but I don't trust pianos that even the manufacturer calls "furniture" (on the website).

P22 is made in Indonesia but I've never heard there was any issue with quality, they are a fine instrument, I've played several. The M3 isn't available in the US so that's why many on here aren't familiar with it.
