Good morning all,

I was curious if I could get an idea of how this program worked for you if you have purchased it. I'm new and thought I would be playing alongisde the program to enhance my ability to play by ear. It seems like I'm penciling in more than I'm playing...

Any thoughts, and should I stick with it?

Thanks,

Tones

I guess it depends on your level of knowledge of music theory.

I find the book useful for my goals: learn to sight ready more efficiently and understand & anticipate harmonic progression in a piece. I have been working with the book for about a month, jumping back and forth in the first half where the material is familiar to me from Alfred's All-In-One course (Level 1 and half of Level 2). BTW, my book is the three-books-in-one with the CDs and answers. I suppose that the final one third (or third book part) will be most relevant for you. Long story short, if you already know the basics, spend your efforts there.
