Hi everyone, first post here. I'm on level 2C now, started a few months ago and am surprising myself how much I've had fun learning. I started out with zero knowledge of how to play. I've been sliding through the ear training exercises up until now, at this level they want you to I.D. two notes at one time now G is the constant in here but am having no luck trying to decipher the other one. Any advice would be appreciated on how I should go forward from here. Is scores in this displine of low 80's ok, I'm doing alright otherwise scoring above 96% in the other exercises, taking my time......

I think it is a bit much to ask you to identify a note even when played with a known note as a beginner exercise. It is also too much to ask that you try to identify even the basic intervals played separately straight off. Just like all new skills starting at the very beginning is the answer. Before I even got into trying to identify intervals by ear I had to sing a basic scale up and down (in solfege), then from the tonic to each interval: Do - Re, Do - Me, Do - fa...etc, again up and down the scale. By the time I could do that well, then I was ready to listen to intervals and try to identify them. You might want to use something like this to help with that.

Despite being told I have a good ear, I find ear training quite difficult so don't be too discouraged by making errors it just comes down to practice.

Surprisingly easy, barely an inconvenience.
