Also, looks like his store is closed on Monday too so maybe no reply now until Tuesday?

Let's call a spade a spade.

I'm new round here, but this stuff is just bonkers.

You insult the guy, and post hateful stuff here, and yet you expect him to do you a favour?

What on earth has his sexuality got to do with any of this anyway?

Wow. Is this is what this epic saga has now become?

I agree with a previous poster...someone needs a smackdown. This is a good way to get kicked off of Pianoworld.

Although, I may share similar values, this is not a forum for personal judgement.

I understand you are frustrated, but you can't take this personally, and in order to get the best outcome, I think you need to try to be a bit more professional..and patient.

You already had the V100 delivered weeks ahead of what you initially thought. I think they(Viscount) did everything in their power to organize to the best of their ability...maybe with some prompting from you.

They have showed they are willing to rectify the issue.
How many people/stores/businesses etc are available 24/7, including weekends(Sundays) to be at beckon call?

Apparently Joshua Dove has very recently been handed this opportunity of head of sales North America, as previous gentleman(who I knew) reluctantly resigned frown Give Josh a chance to make you happy.

pv88, let me try to help appease the scenario:

As a piano technician/tuner, I frequently have to regulate, space keys etc. If the cabinet of the V100 is such that, as in an acoustic piano, the front key rail(keyslip) can be removed...providing easy visibility/access to front of action/keys, the front key pin issues(if bent) can be easily rectified in a matter of moments.
I am not a DP technician and can only compare with that of AP's...but if this is the case it may be worth an extra few days. Once a tech has the service manual, which should be a matter of an email link/download, I would presume you would be in business...then just a matter of lining up a technician.

If however, if you are dead set against having the V100, then Godspeed to you. I know you were at first interested in the H1/ST1.

Regardless, DON'T BURN BRIDGES. Exercise "honey not vinegar" wink

The request has already been made for the exchange to the H1 plus ST1 Stand and await reply accordingly. If this request cannot be managed then the V100 will either be sold/traded in for another item, locally.

Richard, with the greatest respect, you appear to be in a state that is psychiatric in nature. I think you need to treat the anxiety you are experiencing first, then decide what to do with your piano. When we are so overwrought with emotions and anxiety, we can't make wise decisions. I urge you to calm down before taking further action. In the meantime, there's a good chance that a solution to your problem with the V100 will be found. Don't count on swapping for the H1 being the solution - that will be another couple of weeks of waiting. It was already highly unpleasant for you waiting for the V100. I also think you should probably refrain from posting a lot here on PW for now, just until you are feeling more positive. I am genuinely concerned for how this saga is affecting you. I hope you are able to find some calm and get on a better track.

Best wishes wish getting it sorted. Just remember: patience is the key.

I'm saying we are dealing with somebody who is highly upset and agitated and we should try to exercise some caution and restraint so we don't make it worse. Richard needs to do the same.

The word "hate" gets thrown around too much, and there was no hate here. People can have opinions that differ from yours, and if you can't accept that, then you are the intolerant one.

Trying to excuse, explain or apologise for homophobia are we? Fail.

Guys (and gals, and members of the LGBTQ community) while I am someone who loves a good vigorous debate over...well anything really, I humbly submit that this is not the appropriate venue for the discussion of politics or religion.

Oh dear...out comes the bible. Predictable and depressing. Don't bother being a free thinking intellect and developing ones own view of life and the world...just reference this baseless poppycock and suspend all independent thought. Of course, had you been born in another region of the world you'd trot out a load of nonsense from an entirely different tradition.

This is indeed a piano forum, as others have said, and these issues shouldn't really raise their heads too much. But if you think I'm gong to sit idly by while you use this place to promulgate your spiteful ignorance you can think again.

Thanks for the PM warning me to 'be careful' as I was 'playing with fire'. I'll keep that in mind.
