"Hit me with your best shot" for the coming pop recital. Its fun to pull it about a bit. . but not easy to remember what you finally decide upon. . You're teasing your hair for this, right? My hairs a 2 and a 3. Razor cut, beloved by ole fellas. Cheap, youre in and out in a few minutes and. . .You never EVER need to comb it!. Teasing is out of the question. . .

I had an (for me) intensive practice session. Started a new piece today, this time a 32-bar long piece. A mixture of 16th note runs, and 16th note figures slurred and arpeggiated into staccato 8th notes, in some places to a span of an octave. Developed a special turn of the wrist for this in order to play it rapidly.
Also plenty of scalar and arpeggiated 16th note runs for both L and R hand. Did this on the acoustic piano, which felt very resistant an unresponsive at first. It's been in hibernation over the winter and the room is still chilly.
I grew to like the KX-88 that I've used most of the winter and the responsive string dampers of the software pianos.
I played through the whole piece BH several times, and worked on all sections individually up to tempo.
Will do some R&B for a while. Give the classical a break. You can spend the rest of your life looking for music on a sheet of paper. You'll never find it, because it just ain't there. - Me Myself

So I thought I would try something new and create a "Daily Something" YouTube playlist. The idea is to record something everyday, anything, related to playing the piano. I told myself it doesn't need to be perfect, just play something you're currently working on. There will be mistakes, hopefully little, but who cares, right? I'm hoping this will eliminate the near death experience of being recorded. I figure if you do it enough times, you eventually won't care. To start, I recorded some work on Triad Inversions. Exciting, right?
