This piano is being auctioned for $60,000.00 USD on ebay. It is definitely the rarest Cunningham Piano I have ever heard of.

According to the auction it was built in 1890. Since Cunningham was founded in 1891, this is indeed quite rare. Do not tie up Ebay's bandwidth with the multiple bids that I am sure you will all be making. laugh smile

rare Cunningham on auction

Hey Rich,

You see, there may be things about my family (who has owned Cumminhams since the 1020's), that even you don't know.

You didn't take the human gestation period into account. 9 months can make a difference!

In this case, it sounds like a $60,000 difference!

Take a moment to look at the fine detail of the new hammers hung on original shanks.

Hey, the seller is offering a 7-day money-back return privilege, so there's no risk! Feel free to bid!

He who hesitates is lost. A month ago you could walked off with it for 50K. Looks like it is spending time in a tropical humidor.

Wow, since the 1020s! That's a LONG time! All this time I thought Christofori invented the piano ca 1700... laugh laugh

The Cunningham in question is a nice looker, but not $60K of a nice looker!

Steve,

That is the right time period. In your first post you must have been thinking of your birth date wink laugh
