Eligibility
The OHIO International Piano Duet and Duo Competition is open to contestants of all nationalities.


Levels/Ages

Senior Division: 10 – 18 years old as of September 1, 2015
Young Artist Division: 19 – 28 years old as of September 1, 2015

Key Dates
Application Deadline: April 15, 2016
Finalists Announcement: May 1, 2016
Live Final Round: June 23, 2016

Prizes
Contestants will compete for cash awards for each division:
First Prize: $1,000
Second Prize: $500
Winners will participate in a gala concert as part of the 2016 Ohio University Piano Pedagogy Seminar.


Final Round Venue
The final round will take place in Glidden Recital Hall at the Ohio University School of Music, Athens, Ohio.


Repertoire
Repertoire selection is at the discretion of the performers.
Repertoire may consist of duet (one piano, four hands), duo (two pianos) or a mixture of the two.
Original compositions, arrangements, and transcriptions are all acceptable.
Concerto repertoire is not permitted.
Memorization is not required.

Application Deadline
Complete entry applications and fees must be received by April 15, 2016.

Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of $80/team is required for entry.


All decisions of the judges are final. Judges reserve the right not to award prizes in one or all divisions should the performances not meet the established standards.
