Actually not the Baroque one unless we end up changing the rules. We decided for only one submission.

Well, the "Theme with variations" then. There some of the participants will play more than one set.

I think I've found my way of doing it: get in early with a first submission, saving the magic number for a possible update. Actually, I updated twice, tumbling down from rank #11 to #23 and ultimately #44. Huge improvement from my first take though still far from perfect.
Sorry CarlosCC, you're no longer #44...

Was it a real update or just a move to keep your rank?...
Anyway, I'm OK at #43.

Oopsie! Thanks Gandalf, in that case I'll just stick with the Schumann. Cheers!

Cathryn, there are still two submissions from you showing up on the list - one under 'Cathyn999'. Looks like you're going to mess up Carlos and Pollux's numbering duel! laugh

Well, I decided to try to do another take today anyway. I cut my left hand forefinger Friday trying to do some cooking...not my thing obviously grin
But it's better today so I thought I could manage to play the piece. The bandage caused a few slips in the left hand, but it's not so bad so I updated my submission. Not sure the recording is any better, but some things about the previous one just kept annoying me...

Oh darn. I just submitted four pieces... Two movements of a Mozart sonata and a Bach Prelude and Fugue.

I didn't realize there was only one per person.

So just listen to one.
sorry 'bout that. I'll know better next time.

Forrest, the Mozart Sonata is technically one piece. You still have time to put the two movements together in a single file.

Made it. Better late than never, unlike the previous one I had well ready in time, I was in two minds about this one with what I to recorded on Friday with a rotten week, whether to bother at all, but then, why not, it is all about the journey as they say, this is part of it and would probably regret if I didn't participate.

Look forward to the entries smile

Ok. I have some trouble with my zoom recorder. After turning it on, it said that the SD card was write protected. So I wanted to remove the card from the device to slide the little lever to get the protection off, but it was stuck in there. There was no way it could be removed without damaging something. But it had to come out! crazy
So gently as I possibly could I started to pull the thing out with tweezers... That only can go wrong, you think, and you are right. SD card to pieces.
BUT, I thought about the SD card in my car with the maps on it. I can always copy the maps onto computer and use that for recording. I got it, copied the maps to laptop, put it in the Zoom, and.. No glory. The card would not not stick inside the recorder. The spring in there kept pushing it out! Something really broken in there... mad

Long story short, I'm not submitting anything. I'm not going to start fiddling with iphones and other stuff. It's too late anyway now. Something really did not want me to record it seems... tiki
