Brothers/Sisters,

Wants to know whether CVP 705 is the same as CVP 709 and the differences.

Is the difference in price more towards the rest of the technicalities or just the action as well as the expensive speakers and wood. Does it matter for good piano playing.

Would these pianos be suitable for graded ABRSM exams, classical and jazz, and diploma, ensemble playing solo.

Which of these piano's are better value for money and professional playing.

Would you answer with your views, so that I could choose between either ?

Thanks.

Same action (NWX), but many differences : number of sounds, styles, amplification.

You should go to the yamaha site to compare both of them.

The CVP arrangers are made to play with an accompaniment. If you don't need it, you should choose a CLP model.

Would this be good for my ABRSM exams, to practise on them to complete my graded exams and my diploma ?

If you are going all the way to diploma then you probably want the best action you can. I would suggest you try a range of instruments from the major brands, but definitely include the Kawai CA67 / CA97 in your play testing, as they are widely regarded on these forums as being a step above the competition in terms of action. They are also cheaper than the CVPs you mention. If you can stretch your budget the Yamaha Avantgrand range gives you a digital, but with a real acoustic action, and are definitely worth a look too.

I'm looking at the Kawai MP11 too. Think it's sweet. I guess this would suit for my exams as well. It looks so beautiful too.

Thanks All,

Wow, I just checked out the CVP 709. My dream come true. If God let's me, I'm praying, could buy the CVP 709. Action or not. I could see it's their toppest digital piano in this price range.

I'm also looking at the CVP 709 and 705.

Did you ended up getting it? What do you think about it? Looking for some feedback on these?

Thank you smile

I tried the CVP 609 couple o` years ago. Very impressive stereo sound, fabulous keyboard. Expensive of course, and too large. Try out loads of others to get a relative feel for what you`re playing.
