Hi. Welcome to the forum.

You've resurrected a four year old thread!

The 'Studiologic' range of controllers and pianos use Fatar actions. The 'Arturia' Keylab 88 uses a Fatar. Studiologic specify the Fatar keyboards in each model on their website (or used to anyway). Arturia doesn't specify. For a slightly lighter action (the L in TP40L refers to 'light'), some makers seem to prefer to use Fatar TP100 rather than TP40L. TP40GH (graded hammer) is far more common in products intended primarily for piano or piano-controlling use.

Have you checked out the Studiologic Numa Concert piano? It's a wooden Fatar TP40, graded with triple sensors. The piano sound seems really excellent from the demos I've heard and you might not need to use software all the time with such a good piano sound onboard. Studiologic (owned by Fatar) have not always been great for reliability or product support but I get the impression they have improved somewhat.

Good luck,

Steve

They are still available though. I recently traded mine towards the Mp7.

Hello,
I got a problem with my SP4-7 and I think that is related with the OS. I can't get the 19CC and the 20CC midi parameters work for the KB3. I mean that although I am sending the CC for 19 or 20 (any values) from an external midi controller, I get no response on the organ KB3 sounds. All the other 7 (out of 9) drawbars of the KB3 are working perfectly.
Any thoughts?

Hi, congratulations, You made a great choice... Kawai MP7 has best and most realistic key action under $2500 in a portable compact overall slab DP solution. Cheers!...

keyboardologist, I'm not overly familiar with Kurzweil boards, however I'm confident that Dave Weiser (contact him via his website) will be able to answer your query.

Best of luck!

Cheers,
James

I did a lot of research before posting the issue, tried different midi modules etc. I finally contacted Kurzweil via email which gave me THE answer just a fue hours later:
I had Lclkbdchan in global set to 1.
"This is the issue. Set this back to the default: None. The Local Keyboard channel feature is intended to specifically REMAP incoming MIDI data. This is preventing the incoming CCs from reaching where you intend.. Did you have this set on 1 for some special purpose? If so you may have to rethink that to maintain the CC's."
Kurzweil support team is working!

Hi, for best piano keys i'd look for a VPC1, in second place for a MP7, a third option could be RD800/RD700nx or MP6, CP4 and PX5S for a budget. Cheers.

Lay off the drugs, Fer. This is the most irrelevant post I've ever seen on a forum.

Essbrace, how would you compare the action between Roland RD-1000, Yamaha CP1, Physis H1? I think GFII and RHIII are best.

Marko, you are of course spot on. Just to add to our collective knowledge yesterday I compared Volkswagen Golf with Ford Focus and found I still preferred Kawai RH.
