I think I will be ready to record tomorrow. Last night I aged my piece twice, better than ever before...so while there is always room for improvement, I think I am about at my peak for this point in time.

So I have to record this weekend, but seems I cannot even get through mine once frown

I don't really have the motivation to work on it, I have other pieces under work. But I cannot bail out. I might just submit an edited version if nothing else works out. It would be an exception, but since this music comes from the recording age, I feel it's just fine.

Looks like the recital is really shaping up - the submission period will stop Monday night as planned - don't be late!

Managed to make some kind of a recording and submitted it, but I really will try to make a better one tomorrow. But even if I have to leave it and it's pretty bad, at least I did not fail to participate! smile

OK, I am in at 37!

Outo , I know what you mean about "not failing to participate". I had to drop out of the last 2 themed recitals and I really didn't want to withdraw from this one too.

There are some hesitations, in my recording, but I don't have the stamina to re-record. I had a few false starts, but once I got rolling I only did one full take. I'd love to be able to play this faster but that just isn't in the cards at the moment.

Looking forward to the launch!

I feel the same way today. I know if I put as much work into it today as I did yesterday I could make a better recording, but I have no motivation to do it. I want to work on the pieces for my lesson and just forget about this one smile

I've put a lot of effort into recording my second piece and I'm so drained after all the attempts to get the mic in a suitable place for singing and playing together that I've lost the enthusiasm for the third one.

My voice is clearly tired from the wasted efforts - compared to the takes where you can't really hear the voice or can't really hear the piano - but I've done all I'm going to do this time.

I'll have this sorted next time we do a song recital (two microphones, close miking and a mixdown afterwards) but I'm stopping here for now.

I'm in at 39.
I got only one piece in. The other one still needs a lot of work frown Maybe I'll submit it at the quarterly recital

I'm in at 46, didn't think it would take this long but I've been procrastinating. In the end I just did two takes and then had a hard job of picking between them.

Sorry, there's only one submission from me. Looking down the list, apparently I was supposed to do five or six wink

  • Debussy - Le Petit Nègre, L. 114
  • Haydn - Sonata in Gm, Hob. XVI/44

I resubmitted, and dropped from #1 all the way to the bottom - yikes! But I just couldn't subject everyone to my singing, so I kept my mouth shut for this one.

No new recording for us, sorry! It is what it is. We worked hard but didn't manage to do better than that.

Where did the time go? Lucky for me that I checked the forums today. Bit of an ice water bath to discover the deadline was 9PM eastern time and not midnight as I had naively assumed.

Just got back from playing snare drum with the wind ensemble - recital is now closed and I am processing the files. I am not as skilled at this as Monica, so this will probably take a while!

OK, recital should be ready for listening. The zip files are still uploading, but everything else is ready to go.

If you notice any problems, please send me a message.

Just way too much on my plate of late to solve recording problems ... will have to submit it down the road.

Couldn't quite make this deadline although almost ready. For some reason I had it in my head as the 15th ...wishful thinking? Had a live piano party for my teacher yesterday and that deadline took priority yesterday with a solo and a duet. I've really enjoyed playing Stardust and ended up buying a couple of books from the era and want to learn several of them.

Will listen to the rest of your and appreciate your accomplishment.
