Hello everyone.

Is there any reason to consider the ES7 over CN25 - If you all you want is good piano sounds and feel of the keys? Portability and feautres are rather moot.
I know there's a difference in the keys, RH2 vs RH3, but that can only be good as I felt the keys in Es7 were a tad slow.

On a side note: ES8 is not something I'd consider as it's seemingly 40-50% more than the CN25 and doesn't seem to add a lot, at that price a CS17 is probably a better pick anyways.

If you do not require portability or the additional features offered by the ES7, the CN25 is arguably the better instrument, largely due to the improved RHIII keyboard action.

In most markets the ES8 is the same price as the ES7 (or a little more expensive), however it's possible that your local dealer has reduced the ES7 price in order to clear their remaining inventory.

As you note, the CA17 would be a step up in quality from the CN25, due to the wooden-key keyboard action, higher quality sound technology, and new Shigeru Kawai SK-EX samples.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,
James

I see the ES8 has the RHIII action. Does this close the gap between the ES8 and CN25?

The ES8 and CN25 do indeed share the same RHIII action, however I'm afraid I do not fully understand your question.

Kind regards,

On default, the ES7 sounded better than the CN 35 i tried recently. Its good to have a decent default setting. Not mant pianos do imo. Including my own. .. frown
