Hi all,

My wife is 6 months pregnant and as a proactive father I want to have a book with lullabies for piano solo, but I haven't found it !

Is there a book with only lullabies and songs for newborns ?, or should I just compile my own !?

Thanks in advance!

Congratulations on becoming a parent!

Surly there is a piano music book somewhere with baby lullabies to be had.

I have two grown sons, and I too was a proactive parent. When they were teenagers they thought I was a mean dad because I knew, or wanted to know where they were at all times. I went looking for them a few times... smile

But I don't regret it... they are fine young men now, and I have two grandchildren and one new one on the way. smile

Lullaby Book

I found this on Amazon, maybe something like this would work?

I'm sure there are piano books of children's popular songs on Amazon as well.

Hello and congratulations!
... There are many lullabies composed by many different classical composers... For example Brahms not only became a childminder when Clara Schumann gave concerts but he also composed many lullabies for the Schumann children and one absolute favourite is "Guten Abend gut' Nacht"...
... and Mozart composed many lullabies and one of my favourites is "Schlafe mein Prinzchen schlaf' ein..." ... During my studies at University I also worked as a childminder and I had great successes with my Mozart-collection: children absolutely adore Mozart's music at all times!
...And there are the wonderful lullabies by Grieg...
.. You will find that most composers composed wonderful lullabies at one time or another...
even Beethoven composed some wonderful lullabies...
Good luck and all the best wishes from Kristina.

I have some recollection of a record (later a CD) and an accompanying book called "Golden Slumbers." The songs were gorgeous.
