I started learning how to play the Piano using pianonanny.com and I'm stuck on this lesson http://www.pianonanny.com/lesson/starter-studies-lesson-eight-page-1/ . I sorta get the first two measures, but it's the 3rd and 4th one I don't get. I don't know how to read those on the staff. I sorta know measure 1 because I think it's suppose to be same notes as measure 2 (C, D, E, F, G, G) which I learned in lesson 1. On measure 3 & 4, I'm lost. Maybe I'm not reading it right or the teacher just doesn't explain it very well (unlikely).

The note that comes after G is A so the third measure is A G F A on both the treble and bass staff. You play each note with both hands together at the same time and one octave apart.

In the fourth measure you hit C with your right hand and G with your left hand, again both at the same time. The left hand G in the last measure is the same piano key as the G that you played for the last two notes in the first measure.

Hi Skylarking,
Frank already helped out with the notes but I noticed that the fingering in the RH in measure 2 is a bit strange. Considering that you want to continue playing with the third finger in measure 3.
I would suggest that you try to play the F in measure 2 with the thumb and the G with the 2nd finger then you can go on smoothly with the third measure.
Best, Cat

Thank you so much. I'm having a hard time positioning my fingers on this, but I know what the notes are now. Thanks!

Edit: I'm actually loving the technique Cat told me, so thank you for that.
