Was in NYC for a play and U2 and since there weren't any movies like I normally do I went to Sam Ash and Guitar Center instead.
Sam Ash is now carrying some $2,000 + Yamaha's they are very nice but space wise I like things portable.
Whereas last week I commented on the Roland FA series I didn't really touch them this time.
*I found that PX850's while left can be had for $800- perhaps they were just a little more recently. However, despite the 2x20 watt speakers system, the sound is kind of thin and the bottom end is light. Also, whenever I see these pianos there is normally some sort of chips in the cheap plywood. While I like my Casio watch and calculator, I don't think I'll be pursuing another one of their pianos. I saw the new line had list prices over $1,000- they should have decent speakers for that amount.
*Being a Korg fan, I enjoyed the Kronos and could see myself getting the 61 at some point. I wish the Havian were out.
I thought the P115 was decent, obviously the P255 has a more realisitc action, but I would probably go with the ES100.
I think it has excellent action and I like the sound better than the P255. It is in between the P115 and P255 price, and a winner.
Will there be a ES100 update/new model?
