Chicago, IL – PianoForte Foundation is proud to present Music/Words, an annual free concert of live poetry and music with renowned pianist Inna Faliks and award-winning poet Jesse Ball. Co-sponsored by The Poetry Foundation, Music/Words will take place Friday, May 29 at 7:30 PM, PianoForte Studios Concert Hall, 1335 South Michigan Avenue, Second Floor, Chicago IL, 60605.

Ukrainian star pianist Inna Faliks founded Music/Words in 2008 and it has since been presented in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago. PianoForte Foundation and Poetry Foundation collaborated to present the 2012 Music/Words Chicago premiere. In 2013, Music/Words was broadcast on 98.7 WFMT for National Poetry Month.

Music/Words 2015 is the third collaboration between Ball and Faliks since the 2008 world premiere and the 2009 performance.

A concert so graceful and so unusual that it must be mentioned… [Faliks] handled everything deftly, displaying speed and her formidable technique throughout.
-Chicago Sun-Times

Surreal, impactful, and relevant... [a] signature blend of lithe grace and raw power.
-Lucid Culture

A brilliant stroke for both performers and audience.... All gave a standing ovation.
-Peninsula Review

The concert program includes Mozart Fantasie in D minor, Brahms Sonata in F minor, and Godai, written by Brazilian contemporary composer and singer Clarice Assad.
