Hola, DigitalC I'm new too, to the piano and the forum. We are going to be playing with our headphones for some time, so as long as you like the sound of your keyboard it should be good. Now that I think of the concept, it seems to me like the best option…to buy a very cheap keyboard until we really know what we want or if we are progressing enough to invest more money. And there will always be better and better pianos, so we'll never have the very best (or at least I won't…not that it matters to me ).

Hi DigitalC, welcome! I'm also quite new and I also use a not-so-expensive keyboard A yamaha. I don't find it crappy to be honest, I quite enjoy the sound. I'm sure real pianists will cringe but ey, I like it, it's touch sensitive even and we're beginners! As long as you've got fun when you play, right?

Like Finfan I'm also having fun with Alfred, I use the adult self-teaching course but I've heard great comments about the all-in-one course too. Maybe we'll see you @the Alfred thread !
