Not that I have any transcribed, but I have enjoyed sounding some of them out in the past.
Which ones did you have in mind?

I was once standing in a keyboard shop in Akihabara/Tokyo, and watching a midi connected synth play Siberian Khatru. (Blew my mind). So, someone has done it.

Sorry, I can provide no specific help though

best wishes-

Roundabout would be nice to start off with,
both the solo and the main riffs.

This was interesting too:

Wakeman is really astounding as a keyboardist.
I've never seen/heard anyone play like he does, as
quickly, with such technical accuracy and precision.

His phrases don't work if you cannot play them cleanly.

Ok, I found these to start with, and they aren't easy!

http://www.keyboardmag.com/lessons/1251/5-ways-to-play-like-rick-wakeman/28030

http://www.keyboardmag.com/lessons/1251/5-more-ways-to-play-like-rick-wakeman/51133

Example 1B in the first link is a "simple" chorus part for
"Roundabout", and it's completely different than how I normally
practice!

What a brilliant musician Wakeman is.

I was lucky enough to see him live twice!

grin

From the FAQ at www.rwcc.com (Rick's official website)

Q. Can I obtain a copy of the sheet music for a particular song/track/album?
A. There is currently no sheet music in print for any of Rick Wakeman's works, apart from a book of hymns called "HopeSongs". There are no plans to publish any in the near future I'm afraid. Titles that have previously been published do show up from time to time in secondhand shops, and sometimes on the internet in auction sites like ebay [www.ebay.com].

Just gotta learn 'em by ear.

If you're having difficulty that way, you might try getting one of the various pieces of audio software that will slow the music down by some percent of your choosing and learn it sssslllllooooowwwwllllyyyyyyy :-)

Yes, there's no one quite like him:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WV-gddts3I0

Definitely at the top of the prog rock keyboard heap,
but I've never heard ANY keyboardist play with such
speed AND accuracy and EVENNESS.

Definitely a creative genius. I put great composers and improvisors above pure interpreters.

And yes, I have transcribe, so I can slow down anything. But I think it will be more an issue of practice and technique than anything else.

I wonder if Wakeman has ever met Vangelis? That would be cool to see them collaborate.

>speed AND accuracy and EVENNESS.

I know what you mean.
I quite enjoy bursts of exactly this on the piano at the opening of Awaken, followed later in the song by the best (real) pipe organ in rock that I know of.

Also, please understand, if you stick around this forum a while, you find introductions to a number of supernatural beings, for example.

Oh, yes, I'm familiar with Hiromi!

She's even more super-human than Wakeman in a way:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rk7_dXIKt0Y

Try to find the sheet music to THAT! Haha!

I mean, we have living amongst us, the Beethovens, and the
Bachs of our time. Some of us just don't see them, because we don't have the perspective of the passage of time. We are too close to them historically, so we cannot perceive their greatness.

Supposedly, Bach himself was not the God-like figure in his own time, that he is today.

Indeed. He was third choice at the church in Leipzig (St. Thomas Church) where he was Cantor for 27 years, after Telemann and Graupner.

Score! I found a transcription of the exact
ABWH solo I posted above! It's on Scribd:

https://www.scribd.com/doc/169766183/Rick-Wakeman-Solo-Live-Piano#download

You have to sign in, and upload something to be
able to download for free.

And there are other transcriptions:

https://www.scribd.com/search-documents?query=rick+wakeman

Enjoy! Or rather, get depressed that just having the
music will not turn you into Rick Wakeman!

grin
