@KawaiJames : I may be interested in having a better keyboard (provided that its noise is either less important or identical), but I don't think I will be interested in having different sounds. I am looking for one good sound, I won't switch between different ones. Also, as I said, the cabinet is quite important to me, and the CA95/CA97 seems quite ugly to me (this is one of the reasons why I bought the Roland in the first place), but it is also true that I don't think I will wait a year nor I will put almost 4000 euros in an absolete digital piano.

lophiomys, this is a very nice idea, and certainly from a marketing perspective I would love to be able to make the new SK-EX and SK-5 samples available in the MP11 and MP7.

However, as I explained to you previously, this is unfortunately not possible.

The MP7's memory was already expanded several times (compared to the MP6) in order to accommodate the HI-XL samples from the MP11, in addition to the improved synths and other sounds. The SK-EX and SK-5 are fully sampled 88-key soundsets - adding these would require a further expansion in sample memory (thus requiring replacement hardware, creating a new wave ROM, preparing a special version of the firmware etc.). In short, it would be a hugely complicated undertaking and therefore is not going to happen.

Kind regards,
James
