Yamaha P95.
Just playing away. Didn't seem very vigorously at the time. The music board walks/bounces it's way out of the slots, and dumps everything over the back, onto the floor. Oh it's probably hilarious to watch. But it really breaks one's concentration as one might imagine. Has this happened to anybody else? What's the remedy? I can't glue the board in place. Why do I have to re-engineer stuff? Seems they could've made those slots deeper. I'm thinking of a positive pin-into-socket type lock. GAHH!! I HATE it when it happens!

If the slot is similar to that on the DGX I have (think it is) I built a full width music stand which also sits on the front. There`s a link some where . .

Maybe you could jam it in with an appropriate number of layers of folded paper.

The same thing happens on my likewise cheap board. Just build your own or buy a real stand (one that doesn't attach to the board, one that sits behind it).

Sometimes, stick-on Velcro can solve such problems. I don't know the details of the keyboard and rack, but there may be a way to put Velcro tabs on each one (either sticky, or pop-riveted into place) and stick them together.

Probably what I'd do. If it's loose enough to wiggle its way out of the slots, then there's room to jam something in there to hold it securely.

I tried a cardboard wedge and ended up cracking the slot back. Ended up drilling 2 small holes through the slot back and the stand and using two small eye screws to hold the stand in place. The eye screws are easy to install and remove with no tools.

Thanks for all the replies. Never thought of Velcro. Pins and/or bungees was on my list. Have to actually anchor it towards the player. I'm not worried about voiding the warranty as much as drilling into a circuit board and rendering the whole thing useless. Thanks again. FJ
