https://soundcloud.com/eo2/little-prelude-bwv924Please forgive me for not spending $600 for a PROFESSIONAL studio recording of this. I hope you will find it worthy of a listen (and its short).

Well done Vid! I especially enjoyed the expressive quality of the bass line. That really is the heartbeat of this piece.

Thanks you! I will probably post some more in the near future. They are great little pieces.

I don't know the piece and neither do I have the score in front of me, but still I think there is something wrong with your timing of your left hand mordents and the right hand.
Sorry if what I say is altogether meaningless.

The timing and ornamentation in general are things I have been working on. Can you be more specific? Is it just the mordents that sound off to you? (I'm not being defensive and appreciate feedback).

Very nice playing. I enjoyed listening to this.
Your ornaments start on the beat, like one would expect. Some of the ornaments are quite long and overlap with the RH notes. Perhaps this is what Hakki was hearing? I liked the relaxed feel of the mordents and was impressed with the way you allowed the long ornaments to work themselves out while the right hand played its notes right on time.

Thank you AnneJ,
I was concentrating on the left hand ornaments and the coordination so good to hear. I am intentionally playing the regular mordents as 32 notes to keep them in time for now with the intention of speeding them up once the underlying beat is solid.

Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed your recording of it. Especially the way you pulled off the ornamentation in measures 3,4 and 5 nice! I started working on this piece recently. I'm having a bit of trouble with exactly those measures. Your recording will help me a lot. I have one suggestion (or perhaps, query). Regarding the rolled chord and mordant in measure 9. I notice that towards the end of measure 8, you slow down a little, but then the rolled chord is kinda fast. In my opinion, it would sound more nice if you drew it out a little and decrease the duration of the rest. I find the long rest to be a bit off putting. What is your opinion?

Good ear! I feel in the recording my timing is not right between the rolled chord and the arpeggios to the next pedal point so its worth looking at. You may be right.
It required quite a bit of metronome work to tame the ornaments in the left hand and I simplified the one on F# (4th measure). Hopefully once its more solid I can use the 'proper' ornament.
