Hello - i'm pretty new to PC and haven't posted in ABF before, but i'd like to (provisionally) put myself down for Op 2, I hope that's OK? However, I see that most opera are being split into their constituent parts; to me, Op 2 doesn't really lend itself to that so well, but I'd be more than happy to share (in whatever way suits). In fact, the whole opus is a bit daunting but i'm reassured by the far-off deadline...

Ta,

Pam

I was listening some Schumann pieces this morning. I come to really like his pieces now. Some of them are so breathtakingly beautiful. I love many solo pieces but the ones with strings are incredibly beautiful too. Perhaps this is one benefit of forum recitals. It get me listened to many pieces I have never heard of. Oh this pianist, Helen Grimand? Is awesome. I love living in the age where we can listen to the pieces by the click of fingers.

I'm in an extremely good System of learning. I can't waver off on a tangent at this time. I must remain focused in building my ability to play. For that matter, I should be spending less time online.

Hey Ron, not even in March next year?

Ron, have you checked with your teacher first? Perhaps she/he will recommend a piece that would be helpful in your technical progress.

While I do understand remedial work and how that may take a while, I also try to balance that with my students' needs to create music and feel the sense of accomplishment that goes with it.

Something to consider smile

Likewise, if my teacher laughs or rolls his eyes when I tell him what I picked, I'm gonna back out!

I know it will be a stretch for me, but it's March fercryin'outloud!
