I was listening some Schumann pieces this morning. I come to really like his pieces now. Some of them are so breathtakingly beautiful. I love many solo pieces but the ones with strings are incredibly beautiful too. Perhaps this is one benefit of forum recitals. It get me listened to many pieces I have never heard of. Oh this pianist, Helen Grimand? Is awesome. I love living in the age where we can listen to the pieces by the click of fingers.

I feel the same. I was listening to Claudio Arrau play the Op. 6 (Davidsbündlertänze) the other morning and I was so captivated it made me late for work.

To send light into the darkness of men's hearts - such is the duty of the artist.

Morodiene.... I hope you and nobody else takes it personal that I will not participate. Knowing that there are at least a couple really doable pieces I could take on. I like them also. You even cause me, who knows nothing, to research and learn about Schumann. I find I really like him. Parts of him touch me deep. From experience with others in my life.
I'm in an extremely good System of learning. I can't waver off on a tangent at this time. I must remain focused in building my ability to play. For that matter, I should be spending less time online.
