Hello,
This monster of a sonata was my final piece on the program, which may have not been the best decision considering how fatigued I was for a lot of it! Nevertheless, I'm posting it here in all of its imperfect glory. Enjoy!
I: Allegro non troppo, ma energico: https://app.box.com/s/ypst8se8ebhpx10v3r8j

II and III: Andante con espressione -- Scherzo: https://app.box.com/s/2hd1v732da0gymsr3027

IV: Finale: https://app.box.com/s/4k7cu8wll2r5esywtq3f

Very good performance.

By the way, what make and model of piano did you use for this recital? Was the piano's touch, tone, power, etc. to your liking, or were you forced to make do with the instrument available to you?

I do believe I heard a very pronounced exhale at the end of the "energetic Allegro." grin That is a testament to athleticism needed at this level of pianism, and special consideration one might make in developing one's program (as you indicated). Stamina, you say? laugh

I do not remember exactly when in the performance it came, but there was a point where I knew I was listening to a very special performance of a very special piece. The Scherzo was particularly engaging. The Finale incredibly exciting!

Beautifully done, bp!

Again, congratulations! This was a senior recital worth celebrating!!!

Thanks for the comments from both of you! The end of the Scherzo was a part I knew I was going to mess up, a couple of the measures are just almost unplayable.
The symphonic first movement is certainly a work-out, and I think the least characteristically "Brahmsian" out of the four movements, it bears the mark of a young driven artist trying to show off his pianism.
Almaviva- the piano was the school's Steinway D. Overall I was satisfied with the instrument, however the bass is quite loud. It takes a lot of care not to overwhelm the treble voices. Also there was a bit of buzzing during some of the pieces which was distracting.
These are the measures in question at the end of the scherzo, this edition even suggests to leave off the bottom note of the octave. Henle doesn't offer this alternative.
