I was practicing this morning. The window behind me, when I am playing, faces East. The sunlight came in through the window and struck the name on the fallboard. That was then reflected in gold on the ivory of the keys. It was pure magic. It lasted only a few minutes until the sun had risen farther in the sky, but a great way to start the day.

Most people are probably willing to take my word.https://www.pianoworld.com/forum/images/icons/default/wink.gif

If the sun rises in the East, again, tomorrow, and if I can be bothered, and if I can upload the photo, I might oblige.

It is the black piano. I would rather see "Number 69 People's Firewood and Piano Co-operative" reflected, of course, but C BECHSTEIN will have to be good enough.

The sun did rise in the east and I seem to have got a picture of the reflected gold. If you will all bear with me for a few days I will try to post the image. First interesting point is getting it from my phone onto my computer. That should be good for 8 hours of fiddling with devices!

I got the photos onto my computer here and even followed the instructions to upload them to the gallery. Unfortunately they are too big and I am insufficiently interested to pursue the matter any farther.

It really is delightful.

One can 'reflect' on that image for quite some time!

Thanks for sharing this and for going through the trouble to do it.
