I just bought me the Ravenscroft 275 sampled grand piano. I want to use it for a piano album with my own classical pieces. I wonder if anyone have some suggestions for settings, like the pedal noises, resonances, mic positions etc?

I think there is no need to pay that much attention to noises which are actually just side effects of operation of an acoustic piano. What I would suggest to use is a good external reverb (set up appropriately of course) that would let make the sound more rich and spacious since the built-in one is too simple. As regard the sound itself I prefer to use a mixture of 100% of room and approx. 30% of close mic positions.

Thanks, I will use a professional mastering studio for reverb, EQ, etc.

Have you done anything with the tone and timbre buttons? Im striving a bit to find the sound I want, which should be: Warm, but not muted, and clear but not metallic.

I've made the timbre dull a bit by bringing the "timbre shift" setting down to -5. Otherwise you could record all your material with use of settings set by default first then re-adjust them the way you like afterwards or let a sound engineer do that.
