lol Wayne actually after I posted it, I thought, hmm, Wayne WILL prolly like this one hehehehe

Great stuff, everybody (even yours, Wayne wink )

One of my latest piano listening obsessions.. Liszt transcription of the 2nd movement of Beethoven's 7th symphony. No one seems to know who made this recording, but I've been in love with it forever and rediscovered it a couple of weeks ago. I love the dynamics in this piece!

Hi guays, Hope you all are doing well!

Last Monday I had a little surgery for an inguinal hernia. I'm getting better but couldn't play the piano this week, among other things. I hope to start practicing again next week. I really miss the keyboard.

Cheers

I've found this improvised solution to sit at the piano. I can't get a right posture, but at least am able to play for a little time.

Ah, the old "gangly gut", Ricardo. I've a few buddies with this but none of them needing surgery yet. Recover soon!

Hi everyone! I just dropped by to give my greetings and to especially wish a speedy recovery to Recaredo.

I miss not being able to spend very much time here. However, if things go well, I'll have some things to share a bit later this summer. I'll keep lurking, however.

Be well everyone! smile

Hi folks!

If it's practice that's keeping you away, Carl, you must be getting really hot! smile

I was singing this today mowing the lawn. I wonder why I never hit the big time? laugh

Hello, and good day. Hope everyone is having a good week.

A nice little storm we had this evening, so I am off the hook for crass cutting tonight. If I were though (tomorrow now looks like) this is the tune I've been humming of late. I'm thinking of having a go at it, myself. If, I can ever find a decent arrangement ...

It is unclear to me what this thread is but it's nice to come along and listen to some interesting stuff. Back in a classic 70's mood the last few days and this never fails to make me feel good.

Surprisingly easy, barely an inconvenience.

Wayne update lol: Getting involved in a local community group has proven very time consuming, but worth it!(?) Looks like the little shits (local children) will be getting a mini bike track installed within the next couple of weeks, and plans for other stuff are in the pipeline.......

On a personal level, I've been getting into the old gardening lark, growing our own edibles etc, whilst the other half working on solar energy, storing, self sufficiency kinda stuff smile

Piano wise, it's been sort'of nice to have an intimate, personal hobby to retreat to, although I've not really progressed in learning new material, but 'realised' how taking stuff slow, practising and really understanding is more beneficial than I knew wink

.........it's 2am here now lol, and have to go to work tomoz, been having a few whoes with our latest little girl 'Tia' (our newest addition to the doogies....) so hoping stuff pans out ok.

Speak soon all, and really should 'knock around' here more often............ so peaceful wink <3

Hey Wayne, glad to hear from you and your updates. I'm almost completely recovered, even rode the motorbike today!

Best of luck to you and your other half.

I've been practicing for two hours today, although I have still to use the chair, for now I don't stand the bench.

Anyway, last night enjoyed this "danzón" of Arturo Márquez, a Mexican composer whom I didn't know.

Happy week to all!

Yes, indeed Wayne. although I often skip right over the Intro. If you and Richard are also proficient Whistlers, then I believe we can all say we are indeed, multi-talented. Oh ... and I used to be a pretty good Roller Skater grin . I know, it is a tough one to top.

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit more mobile Recaredo, and getting back to some practice and playing.

Have an outstanding week ...

Great news Recaredo smile I knew you were a 'tuff nut' laugh

Actually Greener, I'm quite nifty myself when it comes to Roller booting, (I wasn't allowed a bike when I was younger, so Roller boots it was, I'd hitch a ride by holding on to the back of friends bikes if we were going anywhere of distance or speed wink ) However, you've got me on the whistling, not really one of my talents, especially the two finger in mouth ones, I just blow air with no sound smirk

Good evening to everyone xxx
