Should I exchange my KC350 for 2x KC 150s?
Main use is gigging but usually the house has monitors so I guess my main usage would be home and party type gigs with a drummer, bass, & guitar playing pop rock type stuff with vocals..

Two speakers would allow you to connect your keys in stereo, which - depending on your instrument - should sound much better that the single mono KC-350.

If you do not need the power of the KC-350, two KC-150s is perhaps the more flexible choice. You can also opt to just bring the one KC-150 to your gig and play in mono.

That being said, I wonder if a completely different solution such as EV or Yamaha Stagepas would be the better solution?

Cheers,
James

Thanks. I looked into and tried the Yamaha Stagepass 400i yesterday.. After research it seemed like a great solution (well the 300 is what people were talking about), but then after trying it (with a Roland RD-600) it sounded really stressed. When I swapped out the 2 stagepass speakers with 2 of my roommates (random old speakers he got with a used $50 PA system a long time ago) it sounded better... So I am returning the stagepass setup. I can't justify keeping a $600+ system that seems to need crappy old speakers to sound good... I think I'm just going to get a good clean power amp (now I need to figure that out..) and use his speakers for now..

That is what I did years ago. Today there are many other solutions and many people, including myself, wouldn't go with Roland amps again, but they did a great job for many years.
