Hi I am learning through this piece now and am thrown off by the poly rhythm on bar 19, or lack of. Are the notes all connected like I think they are? I tried listening to recordings but i'm unable to differentiate.

Thank yo!

I'm not really seeing an issue on measure 19 that is different from anything before it. Your link is just the general site for a bunch of scores. Can you provide the specific one you're looking at?

There's a lot of 2:3 and 4:3 in this piece generally. I don't see any polyrhythm in measure 19 though, just triplets in the LH with three beats of rest and a quarter note in RH.

Working on:
learning: Fauré, Preludes Op. 103
preparing for performance: Dvorak "Dumky" trio, and four-hands program of Mozart, Corigliano, Schubert and Barber

I love Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and new music

Right, which has been happening since the first measure, so I didn't see why measure 19 would be any different.

Haha, I know, I just felt I wasn't very clear in my first post so I was agreeing with you. I'm so glad we are so agreeable here. smile
