Hi folks,

I noticed that despite all of the piano societies out there, there doesn't seem to be one in Brooklyn. I'd like to start it. Since I have a Steinway Style III in my apartment, would anyone here be interested in helping me get it off the ground by getting together for a piano party? I live in Midwood, which, as the name suggests, is in central Brooklyn, and my apartment can probably hold 15-20 people.

There were a couple of people in February 2014 posting about the possibility of starting a Piano World centric New York piano club, but they could not find a meeting place. Sounds like you have that problem solved.

You might revive that thread, or contact some of the interested people via personal message, because they may or may not see this new thread.

Good luck with the new club.

Some new clubs use meetup.com to recruit new people and to manage reservations when space is limited. The club organizer has to pay a fee to list on that website. Many groups charge per meeting to defray the listing fee and other costs such as tunings, snacks, drinks.
