A couple weeks ago I ordered and paid for a new CA-65 in rosewood. My dealer (northeastern U.S.) is telling me there are literally no rosewood models left in the country, and I'll have to wait until month's-end when the 2014 shipment arrives; at which point he will incur a manufacturer's price increase.

Are others experiencing this? Hoping James will weigh in.

Thanks,
Randy

Hello Randy,

I do not have any involvement in the sales and distribution side of things, so I'm afraid I cannot provide any additional information beyond what your dealer has told you.

You may wish to double-check the situation with Kawai America, by contacting their offices via the this page.

Kind regards,
James

OK, thanks James. That'll teach me not to give away my old piano the day after ordering the new. Now I am key-less.

It's only a month, no big deal. You don't have to pay any extra. It's not that bad. A month goes by pretty quick, just wait it out and look forward to your new piano.

Not sure whether I'm misundertanding something, but frb63 said:

Bold font change is mine.

I understand these words to mean that the shop was going to charge frb63 at the new price, so he/she would have to top up, pay the difference of the new and the old price. If that's not the case, why was the dealer mentioning the price increase?

If I'm wrong, frb63, please correct me, before I rant anymore. smile

TheodorN,

No, I didn't mean to imply that the dealer is increasing my price. He is not.
