I'm surprised no one mentioned Billy Preston yet. The Top 40 hits I remember best were "Nothing From Nothing" and "Will It Go Round In Circles."

Billy Preston and Serita - With You I'm Born Again. Sucky song. All the girls love it, so I play it - but I hate it.

What a great thread! I'd like to add:

Smashing Pumpkins - Thirty-Three
Anything by Carole King

And speaking of the '80's - remember "Making Love out of Nothing at all"? Super cheesy but fun (and easy) to play!

I've been struggling with MMD for months now, especially the second measure, trying to duplicate the recording as closely as possible. Do you have any insights on that second measure?

How close to the recording can you get? I've heard many attempts but nobody I've heard so far gets anywhere close to the original. Do you have anything up on youtube I can look at? Thanks in advance.

Hello guys!
I'm convinced that there is no music in the Universe that would be impossible to play on piano.
As for the Rock music, sometimes you can play literally almost everything like in original, or sometimes you can "adjust" Rock to piano's nature. But anyway, it's always enjoyable and fun!
I'm classically trained pianist, but deep inside I'm a "Rocker" :-)
Also I like making sheets for my arrangements. So if you like them, you can let me know and I will send them to you for free.
Here is "Welcome to the jungle"

This is "Soldier of Fortune"

I love seeing (or hearing as the case may be) classic rock and mainstream music reinvented on the piano. So many examples out there of this...Here's an artist with a very tasteful take on the Rush song, Broon's Bane: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8d05c1COpk

Brad Mehldau does a fantastic version of Blackbird:

as well as the Beach Boys classic, "God Only Knows": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnwNr97VmNU

The ostinato in "Blackbird" is hypnotizing, especially because the "reinvention" is much longer than the original.

There are at least 4 different versions of him playing Blackbird...they are all distinctly different but all wonderful. The version with his Trio is my favorite.
