Looked at the Flint web site. Other people he has dug up include Crookes (dugee or colleagues?), and Conan Doyle (reportedly a spiritualist dupe while alive). We should feel insulted as classical music lovers that he would pick Chopin, expecting a gullible audience. He did not channel Isaac Asimov or Christopher Hitchens.
Hard not to giggle, but among today's mail is my University of Virginia alumni mag, with letters arguing for (and against) the Formal Study of Reincarnation, which was recently on the cover.

There are two schools of thought encouraging us not to touch Flint: atheist/agnostic Skeptics who correctly underline the notorious history of fraud in the medium business, and also theists who (not discounting the fraudsters) posit supernatural communication by malevolent imposters.

He did not channel Christopher Hitchens because he died 19 years before Hitchens. Well, actually that's not THE reason LOL!

Wow! Away two days and about 20 additional replies.

Yes, dubious at best. But I thought it might be good for a laugh.

Researcher Melvin Harris examined the tapes of Flint's direct-voice mediumship and wrote "I have to conclude that his spirits are awfully mixed up. His Valentino speaks with a stage French accent - shades of Charles Boyer - while his George Bernard Shaw sounds like an irascible English colonel, with no trace of his precise and memorable soft Irish brogue." Harris believed Flint to be a fraud and compared his mediumship to the fraudulent medium William Roy.[4]
In 1970 William Rauscher and Allen Spraggett attended a sitting with Flint in New York and said that Flint's mediumship was a disaster as the spirit voices sounded exactly like Flint.

The only thing running through my mind during this recording was "Of all people, why Chopin?"

You all should know that we have (or had... I don't know) a member who was in contact with Chopin. I don't remember the name now, but I'm sure someone out there does. In the past, there have been some interesting threads devoted to the subject.
