Let's not - myself included - get too worked up about whether or not our submissions have been duly acknowledged. Let's concentrate on being patient and thankful while Joel and Damon have time to organize and report the submissions.

Actually, I haven't been organizing any lists. It seems everyone else has been. (way before I even knew about it)

Being that this list isn't absolutely essential, I won't be updating it. My inbox is way too hectic to worry about it, so I'll just let you guys keep updating it as you please.

By the way, 34/40 submissions so far. Almost there!

I submitted the A flat major Nocturne over nearly three weeks ago. If whoever is doing this list had looked back far enough, they would have seen a post from me to that effect.

The red text over the grey color scheme I have makes the text pop off the screen in 3D... Kinda trippy grin

Sorry, but I have to withdraw. The strain of practicing a lot over the last couple of days has made me ill again, and I really need my health. Sometimes you can have a wonderful learning experience in life but with nothing tangible to show for it - yet - and that is what happened with this nocturne. I have connected with it and discovered so many beauties and details, and with good health in the week I set aside specifically to prepare for this recital, I had hoped this would be the best performance of my life. Oh well.

Anyway, the G major nocturne, opus 37 no 2, the one with the flowing double notes in the right hand, is available, just in case anyone has it fresh in their repertoire and can submit a recording. And a sincere apology to Joel and the other participants.

P.S. I did try playing through the piece at three-quarter speed to see if I could record it that way, but I found that I would need to significantly adjust the pedalling in the double note passages, which threw off the feel of the LH and messed everything up.

Julian - Last year I became ill prior to the deadline for another e-cital here and had to ask that someone else step up and submit my piece. A few weeks later, when I was feeling better I recorded the piece and posted it on PW. I know we'd all enjoy hearing your Nocturne - and I hope you will share it with us. Feel better !!! thumb

Maybe playing it while you are ill would make it more authentic. grin

I have a recording of the chopin E-minor prelude that I posted in the members recordings section. I was sick when I did it, and while it sounded beautiful I completely skipped a measure. Never noticed it until someone pointed it out. Sometimes, being sick really messes with your perception.
