Well done Sam.

As much as I perform, something like a duet is very scary to me, much more scary than a solo.

Congratulations,Sam. I would hate to be responsible for turning pages for my teacher. That sounds extra-scary. eek

The best thing about spring recital?.....that first sigh of relief when it is all over. The second best thing?......not practicing your recital piece the next morning. grin

Way to go Sam!
I have one coming up in May. Last year all the other adult students bailed out. Maybe some of them will perform this year.

Glad to read it went well, Sam.

I have my second live recital for this school year coming up in two weeks (April 5th). I was going to play the Chopin Nocturne, but it's still got three measures I can't get through at all (the three I feared from the beginning I'd never be able to play ...). My teacher still seems confident I'll get there eventually. But in two weeks, it'll be Tchaikovsky and Burgmüller.

And then, for June, I hope to get the Chopin polished to the point where I can play it backwards with my eyes closed. And I'll try to do at least three of Bartok's Six Romanian Dances, but hopefully all six.

Plodding through piano music at a frustratingly slow pace since 9/2012.

Standard disclaimer: I teach many things. Piano is not one of them.

Congratulations. Good job turning the pages. My teacher now refuses to ask me to turn pages because I turned 2 pages together one time and dropped the music on the floor because I turned it so strongly.
