I was heart-felt , (not being “wordy”) and impressed with the video of Max Tempia playing in the Casio Air Video ,
I love the the music, (piano playing). and visage of the video.
I am posting this for beginners like myself, because when I see what I’d like to play and can’t yet , …..
I go back to something that motivated me when I started playing piano 5 or so years ago.
This following passage has always affirmed to me that piano is not fancy finger work, theory, or even “perfect” skill that’s been practiced for months or years in itself.
And you may argue that statement.
I also feel “moved” by simple passages or phrases, and even more so, at times in contrast and comparison to the video posted, so I wanted to post this one video to prove it.
It isn’t in perfect tempo, but that wasn’t the reason I’m posting
It is simple, and emotionally “moving” to me.
Go ahead, and have a smile, but it is true (to me at the least).
So, beginners like me- either use this, or your own….. To “go back to” if the piano practicing seems empty, or you think you can’t go ahead, like I do often, and probably always will, at every new piece. (And experts too, if they remember the feeling).

One note theme

Cheers!!!

Nice job on Rose's Theme, pianonewbie1. I agree with you that simplicity doesn't necessarily equal dullness. Many of the greatest songs there are, are actually simple in structure. Imagine is pretty much three chords throughout the piece, C, Cmaj7 and F. The bridge has a few extra chords, but mostly major and minor chords, occassionally with added sevenths.

Max Tempia sometimes drops by at the Casio PX-5S Facebook group, or someone posts his performances. What I love most about the PX-5S, actually has to do with the Facebook group and all the talented musicians contributing there. A true source of inspiration. Then Mike Martin is also very active in the group, giving hints, posting some material and answering questions.
