I know it's impossible to pin down, but I have an evaluation coming up and I know some others have more experience in the buy/sell market than me.

So, what if this piano is in pristine shape and just needs a tuning? What say you all as to a ball park price in USD in a metropolitan market?

I work it the other way around. I look in the area that the instrument is located in and see what the same model is selling for.

Not what is being asked but the actual selling price. That is what the market will sustain for that instrument in the area it is located.

Another way to calculate is to take the purchase price from 1984 discount 50% for the first decade and then 10% for every decade thereafter.
So you would end up at 30% of the original purchase price.

Then add or subtract for cabinet style if there is any or existing damage/repair requirements.
