Hi people! Im looking for piano pieces to play on a gig I got in a rest bar.
Of course, the theme is "valentine´s day" and they´re gonna light candels and serve aphrodisiac meals while I play smooth, charming, romantic solo piano music.
What tunes you reccommend? Thanks in advance!

Dear Leandrusi,

I suggest:

1) My funny valentine
2) As time goes by
3) Tenderly
4) Unforgettable
5) Stardust

Valentine Stomp by Fats Waller... naturally my wife Sue's cover is my favorite. Stephenie Trick does an amazing job too.

This is not really relevant, but I learned some time ago that My Funny Valentine is not a man singing about his sweetheart who he refers to as a valentine. Rather, it's a woman singing about a male character whose name is Valentine. Maybe everybody already knew this (like GEICO and 15 minutes), but I didn't!
