First of all, thank you everyone on this forum for help with this project. This is what I have done so far.
Since there are a lot of images I have made a blog post about it: Joseph Baumbach piano restoration

Good job. One thing to try with removing the old hide glue next time. I use white vinegar to melt glue then wash away with water or a wet rag and dry the board in sunlight.

The boards can be wet for a few minutes as long as they are dried within a short period of time. Use heaters when there is no sunshine.

Nice artwork detail on the partial plate.

The German loop stringing takes a while, but I like the end result better. Make sure you get the loops seated down on the hitch pins or they will rattle against the plate. I am surprised there was no bushing under the coils. Is that how the original stringing was?

Yes, that is how it was when I got it. Can't say if someone changed it some time in the past, but from the paint scratches around hitch pins and some images of similar pianos I would say that it was like this when it exited the factory.
German loop was originally on it so I wanted it to stay the same, although to me it seems as if it is the fastest and easiest loop, at least if done by hand, but that is just from the looks of it.

And if I will do any similar projects in the future, I will find one that has full metal plate as it seems much easier to replace pinblock on that than on this.

neron,
Thank you for posting this. Congratulations on your project. If this is your first piano rebuild and you are not trained as a cabinetmaker-congratulations raised to the 10th power.

When regulating the style of action your piano has, getting the height of the key-stick on the key-frame exactly correct, is very important.

Good Luck!

Thank you Ed McMorrow. The action is the next thing I'm planning to restore, but it works as it is so I will leave it for the time being. I was thinking of remaking most of the parts of the action on a water cutting CNC, if I manage to find someone doing it. But first, I want to be sure that the piano is acting as it should, homemade pinblock and all.

It was very hard job,I'm think. But as it's good looks!
We shall wait it's sounds.
