Hi,
I am just wondering if anyone has ever posted on this forum, or found on the web, a more or less complete list of glues that are useful in piano work, and which parts they are best suited for?
When I do forum searches for gluing applications, I see hundreds

of "which kind of glue is best for..." posts. Just wondering if anyone knows of a specific area to find them all in one spot. I know some forum members graciously take the time to post exhaustive and complete lists (which are indispensable!) Has anyone tackled this one? Can we have a link?
Thanks!

Hide glue will probably be in the number one spot. The main reason this type of glue is used is because someone later on down the road may need to take whatever you glued together apart. It also doesn't seep through the felt parts but does have a short working time before it sets up.

CA (super glue) is sometimes used to give tuning pins a new lease on life.

The book titled; Pianos Inside and Out, by Mario Igrec has a section on appropriate glues for pianos.
